Had my lunch here today and it was fantastic, homemade beef stew and dumplings, and jam sponge and custard for the very reasonable price of 5.50. Very impressed.
I have to go here for meat pies and egg custard for my mother; she wont buy or eat from anywhere else. Hence a weekly round trip of 18 miles! Says it all really!!

This must have the best pies and pasties for miles around and they are totally made on the premises. Great choice of flavours and fillings and the carrot cake omg delicious. I have given four stars as I use to take the lads in here for lunch break and the service use to drive me nutty. Painfully slow but if you like steak and ale pie with real steak and real ale I guess it was worth the wait.
